We try and limit our environmental footprint in the following ways:

  • Using Organic, Local and Fairtrade produce and wine ensuring consistent good quality and reasonable prices.
  • Using Green Electricity supplied by Jack Green.
  • Collecting rain water from the roof for use in flushing the Toilets
  • Using Reverse Osmosis filtration on our table water
  • Recycled products used in renovation of the building. 
  • We encourage local patrons to bring in their own cups to qualify for a 50 cent discount on their coffee the same as student discount coffees
  • The majority of our kitchen scraps go to our worm farms or are composted. This helps reduce our waste, noise of truck pickups and improve the soil in neighbouring gardens. Please ask staff if you are interested in collecting some fertilizer
